Training Requirements & Resources

Thank you for jumping through the various hoops to become and remain an offical volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles! We are excited to have you as part of our team.

The various areas in which to participate as a volunteer have different requirements. Because you are already an official volunteer, you have successfully completed the basic requirements. Official volunteers will receive all volunteer office, event, and outreach opportunities. Depending on what volunteer opportunities you would like to receive, you may be asked to fulfill more requirements. 

Some people are more comfortable volunteering for special events and projects at our office. That is FINE. If you would like to do other things, please continue:

• To receive opportunities for wish interviews and/or meet & greets, volunteers and interns must go through the chapter's Wish-Team Training.
• To receive volunteer opportunities for speaking engagements, volunteers and interns must complete Wish-Team Training and Wish-Storytellers Training.
• To receive opportunities for escorting families on celebrity wishes, volunteers and interns must complete Wish-Team Training and Celebrity-Escort Training. This training is offered by invitation only and according to our needs.
