Information for College Students

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Wishmaker on Campus!

There are several ways in which college students can be involved:

  1. Adopt the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles as the official charity of your already established campus organization (ex: student government, service clubs, sorority, fraternity, residence hall associations, etc).
  2. Establish a "Wishmakers on Campus" club that is specifically devoted to planning fundraisers to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater LA.
  3. Plan a fundraising event with your group of friends.

Being a Wishmaker on Campus is a unique way to enhance your professional skills as planning a fundraising event involves marketing, leadership, event planning, teamwork and much more!

Some popular fundraising events for college campuses are: dance marathons, gala dinners, date auctions, battle of the bands, basketball tournaments, movie nights, etc. You can also start with an easier project of selling Make-A-Wish stars in front of your student union or in the quad.

For more information on starting a group at your campus, contact Brooke Dafesh at 310-788-9474.

If you are a member of an existing group and are planning a fundraiser already, please complete the Fundraising Form and fax it to Brooke at 310-785-9474.
