  • I see first-hand how the money goes directly to wishes, making children’s dreams become a reality.

Volunteering

Each year, more than 450 dedicated volunteers help the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles achieve its mission of "granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions." We have many opportunities for those who want to help grant wishes, speak to groups, raise funds, or assist in the office.

To support the work of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, you can fill out and submit a Volunteer Application online or or download a form, fill it out and mail it to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, 1875 Century Park East, Suite 950, Los Angeles, CA 90067.

We will acknowledge receipt of your application and invite you to the next available New-Volunteer Orientation. (For those wishing to support our chapter as a volunteer, we require attendance at a New-Volunteer Orientation.) Also, note that all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and all volunteers must clear a criminal-background check, before beginning their volunteer work. If you are under 18 and would still like to support our mission, click here to find out about Kids For Wish Kids.

The invitation to attend a New Volunteer Orientation will be e-mailed out to prospective volunteers after receipt of the completed Volunteer Application. Individuals will continue to receive invitations to each one-hour session for a year until they are able to attend.
