I Wish to Have… a Computer with Movies and Games
Kimberly's Wish

Kimberly had been counting down the days, and on Saturday morning she counted down the hours. She was going to be presented her wish for a computer, movies and games at a big party at McDonald’s, just for her! She looked so cute – dressed in her long white dress with little silver and black heels. Meg and I, the Make-A-Wish volunteers, had all of the gifts wrapped. McDonald’s made a sign that said, "May All Your Wishes Come True."

Kimberly and the other kids in her family played in the McDonald’s playhouse and we ordered Happy Meals for everyone. All of the kids loved playing with their Happy Meal toys, but after lunch it was time for Kimberly to open her presents and receive her wish! As she opened a mountain of gifts, she couldn't stop smiling. When she was finally finished, she got out of her chair, hugged me and said, "Thank you." She walked over to Meg and did the same. She is such a sweet person.

Kimberly wanted to cut her cake from McDonald’s – a delicious cake with Ronald McDonald painted on it – and we also enjoyed ice cream cones. After everyone was finished, we loaded up the car with all of Kimberly’s new gifts! Kimberly and her family were excited to be on their way home to set up the computer. She said she was going home to watch her new “High School Musical” movie right away! It was a wonderful party, and Kimberly's wish was perfect.
