Nicole, Age 6

When the day of Nicole’s wish arrived, she galloped out of her front door dressed in a Cinderella outfit. She looked beautiful in her sky blue dress. Her parents were beaming with pride and happiness.

We loaded up the limousine with Nicole, her parents and her two brothers. Our first stop was Best Buy in Santa Clarita, where the manager and most of the Best Buy staff were waiting to greet Nicole. The staff members were lined up at the entrance to the store and clapped as Nicole and her family walked inside. While the family walked in, two Best Buy staffers were taking pictures and filming a video of Nicole, in true paparazzi fashion. Lucero had prepared a treasure hunt for Nicole complete with a map. At each stop on her treasure hunt was an item that Nicole had wanted to purchase at Best Buy. To make things even better, along with each item, Nicole also found baskets of candies and other small gifts. We took out time walking around the entire store until Nicole had found all of her hidden treasures.

Once the shopping was over, Lucero led us to a TV set up with a karaoke system and lots of gift bags. First, Lucero helped Nicole open up the gift bags filled with more great gifts including videos, attachments for Nicole's iPod, games and much more. The karaoke system was set up with Nicole’s favorite songs from none other than…Miley Cyrus. Aurora and Nicole's father joined in to help the initially shy Nicole begin her own personal concert. Before you knew it, there were three people singing away and Nicole's voice was the loudest.

Once we completed our purchase we went on to enjoy the rest of the day at Chuck E. Cheese. At Chuck E. Cheese, Nicole was treated like a princess, which was quite fitting, especially due to the Cinderella princess dress she had worn for the occasion. She was given lots of tokens and even had Aurora and I play with her. She shared her tokens with her entire family so they could all play. Nicole was taken into the wind tube to catch all the tickets she could and she did quite a nice job of collecting. We finally ate and soon after, we were serenaded by Mr. Chuck E. Cheese himself. Nicole was given a crown and birthday medal. As Chuck secured Nicole’s crown on her head, lots of pictures were taken, and there were smiles all around.

Nicole was beaming ear to ear throughout the day. An exhausted Nicole fell asleep just moments after getting in the limousine for our journey back home. Once we arrived back at Nicole's home, we unpacked and said our cheerful goodbyes. It was definitely a wish to remember.
