Breena Gold Named VP/Chief Development Officer

Breena Gold was today named Vice President, Chief Development Officer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. For the last eight years, she has held numerous senior management positions at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, serving as Vice President of the Business & Professionals Division since 2005.

"Breena has an unsurpassed reputation as one of the top fundraising professionals in Southern California," said Suzanne Sutter, President and CEO. "As we reach a significant chapter milestone this month with the granting of our 7,000th wish, Breena's efforts will allow us to continue to grow our mission for the children of Los Angeles County.

Gold had direct responsibility for spearheading the largest fundraising group at the Jewish Federation, comprised of six business divisions: Real Estate and Construction, Entertainment, Legal, Finance & Investment, Medical and Fashion.

Breena began her career at the Federation charged with the development and launch of an innovative 2002 Corporate Development Division, the first of its kind in Federation history, to engage high-level Los Angeles business leaders at the CEO, President and Chairman levels.

"Make-A-Wish is the world's largest wish-granting organization and recognized as one of the top charity brands in America," said Gold. "It is a tremendously heartfelt and rewarding experience to be part of the premier organization that fulfills wishes of brave children facing a life-threatening medical condition during their time of greatest need."

Prior to joining the Federation, Breena spent 13 years at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, one of the world's largest advertising agencies. As Senior Vice President, Business Development, she directed West Coast business development and marketing programs. She held a similar position for the next four years at a major promotional marketing agency, Frankel, where she managed their business development initiatives on the West Coast.

The Pennsylvania State University alum began her career in a political arena as Deputy Press Secretary for the Governor of Pennsylvania, as well as a press aide for the State's Secretary of Commerce.
