Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater LA Selected By United Talent Agency for Employee Giving Program![]() Funds will be donated from UTA’s employee payroll deduction program and time will be spent on fulfilling a child’s wish (LOS ANGELES) March 24, 2008 - Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles today announced that that the organization had been selected for the United Talent Agency's Employee Giving Program. Each year, employees-including agents and trainees-of leading Hollywood talent and literary agency UTA choose six different charities in various catagories to designate for their payroll deduction. While the organizations designated percentage of accumulated funds will be distributed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Greater Los Angeles chapter in December, agency staff plan to get hands on before then by helping fulfill a wish over the summertime. "We greatly value the strong relationship that we have developed with United Talent Agency employees over the past several years," said Kelli Seely, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. "From our wish experiences to our fundraisers, we appreciate the commitment they have collectively made to help us achieve success with our mission, which ultimately means that each of our kids feel like a rising star." "Make A Wish is an extraordinary organization," said Rene Jones, director of the UTA Foundation which oversees the payroll deduction program. "Their commitment to helping kids is inspiring to us all, and we're so pleased they have been voted in as a beneficiary." In 2006, the agency worked to help the Foundation fulfill the wish of Christian, 7, to be an actor. After providing him with a limousine for the day, the agency arranged for him to be transported to a session with an acting coach, a lunch covered by the paparazzi, and then a meeting with representatives from the agency's talent division. The experience resulted in Christian filming a role a few days later in the Paramount Pictures feature production of "Drillbit Taylor," starring UTA client Owen Wilson, which is being released this month.
